Rights management

Rights management in BIMQ is controlled via two separate hierarchical levels.

The first level is the Organisation level, which regulates the number of available projects and users. Here, a distinction can be made between two user profiles: the Organisation Manager and the Staff Member. Both user roles have write permissions and are therefore authorized to actively work on the platform. The “Organisation Manager” can still see all projects used by the organization, can create new projects, and controls all user administration. He therefore determines who should be assigned or denied writing rights on the platform. Further information on controlling the organisational level can be found here.

The second level is the role assigned to the user in the project. This determines whether the user has access to different areas of the BIMQ user interface and which functions they are allowed to use. The assigned user role is project-specific and can be assigned via the menu item Project overview > Participants.

BIMQ user profiles (project-specific)

The different rights of a user within a project depend on their role in the project.
